Josh Alexander returns to AEW Dynamite after six-month injury
Josh Alexander made a surprise return to AEW Dynamite on the September 2 episode after nearly six months away due to a severe knee injury. Alexander, who underwent surgery following an injury sustained during an AEW Collision trios match on March 18, reappeared as a member of the Don Callis Family.
His return occurred following TNT Champion Darby Allin’s successful title defense against Mark Davis. During a post-match confrontation involving Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta, Steven Borden attempted to intervene on Allin’s behalf. However, Alexander blindsided Borden, allowing Mark Davis to deliver a piledriver. Alexander then applied an ankle lock to Allin. While no official return match has been scheduled, the attack suggests Alexander may be targeting the TNT Championship.
