Josh Ford joins Alabama following transfer from Oklahoma State
Alabama tight end Josh Ford is expected to serve as the Crimson Tide’s starting ‘U’ tight end following his transfer from Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-6, 266-pound player entered the transfer portal after the firing of Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.
Ford, who has logged 16 games over his first two college seasons, described the recruitment process as overwhelming after receiving numerous offers. He noted that while he considered options such as Texas A&M, Kansas State, and Auburn, he ultimately chose Alabama.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb have praised Ford’s physicality and energy. Ford expressed a strong passion for the physical aspects of the game, stating, ‘I just love to hit people. It’s my passion for the game.’
