Josh Ford scores first Alabama touchdown in win over South Carolina
Alabama tight end Josh Ford recorded his first touchdown for the Crimson Tide during a 49-18 victory over South Carolina. The Oklahoma State transfer, primarily utilized for his blocking abilities, secured a one-handed touchdown reception from quarterback Keelon Russell.
Ford’s performance contributed to a strong showing by the Alabama tight end unit, which included sophomores Marshall Pritchett and Kaleb Edwards. Head coach Kalen DeBoer noted the increasing consistency and ability of the tight ends to participate in the passing game. The team's rushing attack has also seen significant improvement this season, averaging 4.9 yards per carry compared to 3.4 yards per carry in the previous season.
