Josh Fraser enters race for Carlton senior coaching role

Josh Fraser, the interim senior coach for the Carlton Blues, has officially entered the race to become the club’s permanent head coach starting in 2027. Fraser initially expressed caution regarding the role but decided to apply following a significant turnaround in the team’s performance.

Since taking over as caretaker following the departure of Michael Voss, Fraser has led the Blues to 10 wins from 12 games. The team has moved from a 1-8 record to sitting 11-10, placing them in contention for a wildcard finals berth with two games remaining in the season.

Fraser joins a five-person shortlist for the position. The other candidates include Corey Enright (St Kilda assistant), James Kelly (Geelong assistant), Jaymie Graham (Fremantle assistant), and Daniel Giansiracusa (Hawthorn head of development).
