Josh Gad joins Ocean’s 11 prequel starring Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper
Hollywood actor Josh Gad has been added to the cast of Warner Bros.’ upcoming Ocean’s 11 prequel. The film is directed, written and produced by Bradley Cooper, who also stars alongside Margot Robbie, who serves as a producer through LuckyChap Entertainment. The period heist is set around the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix and is scheduled for theatrical release on June 25 2027.
Other confirmed cast members include Oscar‑nominee Wagner Moura as the antagonist and Monica Barbaro. Production details remain limited, but filming locations are expected to include Nice and Monaco on the French Riviera. Executive producers list includes Josey McNamara, Bronte Payne, Bobby Wilhelm, Jay Roach and others. Gad, known for voicing Olaf in Disney’s Frozen franchise, will take a significant, comic‑timed role in the ensemble.
The announcement was first reported by Variety and subsequently echoed by multiple outlets. The prequel follows the original Ocean’s 11 legacy, aiming to explore the parents of Danny Ocean before his Las Vegas exploits.
