Josh Groban releases ‘CINEMATIC’ album featuring film classics

Vocalist Josh Groban has released a new album titled ‘CINEMATIC’, a ten-track collection featuring musical pieces associated with iconic film moments. Produced by Greg Wells and recorded in Los Angeles and London, the project emphasizes theatricality and emotional depth.

A centerpiece of the album is a rendition of the ‘Casablanca’ classic “As Time Goes By”. The performance aims to balance grand scale with the intimacy of the original song. Other notable tracks include a version of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” featuring the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, and a Sicilian-language rendition of “Brucia La Terra” from ‘The Godfather’.

The album also features a collaboration with Jennifer Hudson on “Unchained Melody” and a performance of “Moon River” featuring a trumpet solo by Groban’s father, Jack Groban. The tracklist spans various eras of cinema, including “Skyfall”, “When You Wish Upon A Star”, “Remember Me”, “Against All Odds”, and “Stand By Me”.
