Josh Hartnett discusses career regrets and fashion evolution
Actor Josh Hartnett has reflected on significant career decisions and his evolving relationship with Hollywood fame. In recent interviews, Hartnett expressed regret over declining a role in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy early in his career. He admitted he feared a superhero role would pigeonhole him, but realized later that the decision also cost him opportunities in other Nolan projects, such as ‘The Prestige’. He noted, “I learned that lesson when I said no to Christopher,” adding that he should have worked harder to maintain that professional relationship.
Regarding his public persona, Hartnett discussed his discomfort with red-carpet fashion. He revealed that during his early years in Hollywood, he often wore simple crewneck sweaters and bright T-shirts to find comfort in high-pressure environments. While he has since adopted a more polished style, such as wearing Gucci for the Albies gala in London, he continues to rely on professional stylists and finds the process of dressing for public events to be a relatively new experience.
