Josh Heuston cast as lead in ‘Throttled’ film adaptation

Australian actor Josh Heuston has been cast in the lead role of Noah Slade for the feature film adaptation of Lauren Asher’s bestselling novel, ‘Throttled’. The project is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which has acquired the worldwide rights to the film.

Based on the first book in the ‘Dirty Air’ series, the story follows a forbidden romance between a rising Formula 1 driver and the sister of his primary track rival. The screenplay will be written by Melissa Osborne, and Nzingha Stewart is set to direct.

Heuston, known for his roles in ‘Off Campus’, ‘Heartbreak High’, and ‘Dune: Prophecy’, takes on the role following the significant viewership success of the ‘Off Campus’ series on Prime Video. Executive producer Lauren Asher will also be involved in the film production.
