Josh Hinchcliffe to challenge Ciryl Gane for UFC heavyweight title

Josh Hinchcliffe is set to challenge Ciryl Gane for the undisputed UFC heavyweight championship on November 14 at Madison Square Garden. Hinchcliffe, who has seen a rapid ascent in the organization, stated he was prepared for the opportunity following a brief call from Hunter Campbell regarding the matchup with Gane.

During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Hinchcliffe addressed several figures in the MMA community. He criticized Ilia Topuria, suggesting that weight classes allow fighters to hide, and claimed he could easily compete at 205 pounds. Additionally, Hinchcliffe expressed skepticism regarding Tom Aspinall’s recent eye injury, suggesting the injury might be a pretext for Aspinall to pursue a career outside of fighting.
