Josh Hokit demands BMF title for potential Alex Pereira fight

Heavyweight contender Josh Hokit has outlined specific conditions for a potential matchup against former two-division champion Alex Pereira. Hokit has expressed interest in fighting for the BMF title, suggesting that if the UFC intends to position Pereira as a top-tier legend, the stakes of their encounter should reflect that status.

Hokit has also criticized the UFC for what he perceives as preferential treatment toward Pereira. Following Pereira’s recent performance against Ciryl Gane, Hokit proposed a path that includes a fight against Gane at Madison Square Garden before facing Pereira in January 2027 in Las Vegas. Hokit emphasized his desire to provide a high-action fight, contrasting his style with fighters he claims rely too heavily on grappling without inflicting damage.
