Josh Iosefa-Scott likely to leave Exeter Chiefs for France
Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has indicated that tighthead prop Josh Iosefa-Scott is likely to depart the club for France when his contract expires next summer. The 30-year-old has been linked with a move to the Provence region after six seasons at Sandy Park.
While the Chiefs have offered Iosefa-Scott a new contract, Baxter noted that the player has received a significant offer in France. Baxter suggested that Iosefa-Scott may be prioritizing his long-term career following his involvement with the England A setup.
Baxter described the potential departure as the ‘natural recycling of the game,’ noting that losing an English Qualified Player (EQP) like Iosefa-Scott will require the club to develop new talent.
