Josh Kerr alleges widespread doping in athletics

British middle-distance runner Josh Kerr has accused the athletics community of being rife with doping, stating in an interview with The Times that he has competed against “cheats and dopers.” Kerr, a world-record holder in the mile, noted that he has faced competitors who were subsequently disqualified for using banned substances.

Kerr emphasized that maintaining an ethical approach to training and nutrition provides him with a mental advantage and peace of mind. He stated that knowing rivals seek shortcuts actually motivates him to run faster.

Regarding his rivalry with Norwegian athlete Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Kerr noted that while they have not raced each other recently, they share similar determined personalities. He expressed a desire to be remembered as the greatest miler of all time.
