Josh McCowan introduced as Florida Atlantic University athletic director

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has officially introduced Josh McCowan as its new Vice President and Director of Athletics. McCowan, who was appointed on July 31, replaces Brian White, who left for Virginia Tech.

McCowan joins FAU from Mississippi State, where he served as deputy athletic director and chief revenue officer. During his tenure at Mississippi State, he contributed to a three-year period that generated over $173 million in revenue. He is an alumnus of Kansas State University.
