Josh Morrissey downgraded to week-to-week with injury
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey has been downgraded from day-to-day to week-to-week due to a wrist injury. The injury occurred on October 7 during a game against the Colorado Avalanche when Morrissey collided with the boards. While the team indicated that surgery is not expected, the recovery timeline is longer than initially anticipated.
In Morrissey's absence, Jets head coach Scott Arniel has redistributed playing time across the defensive line. Additionally, Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Bowen Byram is also sidelined on a day-to-day basis with an upper-body injury.
