Josh Pickering wins Championship League Riders' Championship

Australian speedway rider Josh Pickering achieved significant success in recent competitions. At the Championship League Riders' Championship held at Owlerton Stadium in Sheffield, Pickering secured first place after an undefeated run in the qualifying heats. He defeated defending champion Chris Harris, who took second place, and Zach Cook, who finished third.

In league action, Pickering also led the Scunthorpe Scorpions to a 53:37 victory over the Glasgow Tigers. During that match, Pickering scored a maximum 15 points. The win gives the Scunthorpe Scorpions a 16-point advantage heading into the second leg of the series, scheduled for September 25.
