Joshua Tarling to race Vuelta a España in honor of late brother

British cyclist Joshua Tarling will compete in the Vuelta a España to honor his younger brother, Finlay Tarling, who died following a collision during the Volta a Portugal on August 14. Finlay, 19, was riding for the NSN Development Team when a non-race vehicle entered the course.

Tarling, a 22-year-old time trial specialist, has received full support from his team, Netcompany-Ineos, and his family to participate in the season's final Grand Tour. Geraint Thomas, the team's director of racing, stated that the team is fully behind Tarling's decision to return to competition.

Tarling's parents, Dawn and Michael, shared that Joshua chose to race to honor the pride and love his brother held for his cycling career. A GoFundMe campaign has been established in Finlay's memory to support young cyclists in Wales, having already raised significant funds.
