Josh Tyson commits to Cincinnati basketball

Five-star guard Josh Tyson has committed to the University of Cincinnati for the class of 2027. Tyson, a 6-foot-3 guard currently playing for La Lumiere School, chose the Bearcats over local rival Xavier.

Tyson is highly regarded by scouts, with 247Sports ranking him as the No. 11 point guard in his class. He is noted for his ability to apply ball pressure, navigate screens, and his proficiency as an off-the-dribble three-point shooter.

This commitment marks a significant local recruiting win for Cincinnati head coach Jerrod Calhoun, who is working to build a strong core of high-ceiling recruits as the program competes in the Big 12.
