Joshua Bell attends first 2024 performance of Dubrovnik’s Folklorne ansambl Linđo

Renowned violinist Joshua Bell watched from the audience in front of St. Vlaho church as Folklorne ansambl Linđo opened its first of four festival shows at the 77th Dubrovnik Summer Games. The ensemble presented a wide program of traditional Croatian folk choreography, including the record‑breaking pieces “Podravski svati”, “Posavina”, “Dobar večer dobri ljudi”, “Ženina volja”, as well as Valpovački, Bunjevački dances and the iconic Dubrovnik jump Linđo.

Founded in 1965, Linđo has performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Games every year since 1967 and is recognised as a key promoter of Croatia’s intangible cultural heritage. The group will return for additional performances on 22 July and 18 August at the Revelin fortress and on 21 August in front of the Cathedral.
