Bayern vice-captain Joshua Kimmich warned that Elversberg is well-prepared, noting their ability to attack and counter effectively. Kimmich highlighted that the promoted side has already scored seven goals, more than Bayern has achieved so far this season.

Despite the disparity in stature, Elversberg currently sits two points ahead of Bayern in the standings following victories against Leverkusen and Gladbach.
