Rutgers University Joshua Kohut invasion of privacy New Jersey Attorney General upskirt videos

Joshua Kohut, the 51-year-old dean of research at Rutgers University’s School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, has been charged with fourth-degree invasion of privacy. New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport and the Division of Criminal Justice announced the charges following an investigation into alleged voyeurism.

Authorities state that Kohut allegedly used his mobile phone to record ‘upskirt’ videos without a victim’s knowledge. During a forensic review of five electronic devices seized from Kohut’s home, investigators reportedly found footage depicting an unidentified person’s ‘undergarment-clad intimate parts.’

Rutgers University has placed Kohut on administrative leave and banned him from campus pending the outcome of the investigation. If convicted, Kohut faces up to 18 months in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who may have been a victim to come forward.
