Josip Šimunović fundraiser launched for hip surgery

A humanitarian appeal has been launched to fund medical treatment for 51-year-old Josip Šimunović from Zenica. Following a fall five years ago that resulted in a broken hip, Šimunović has undergone four surgeries, but continues to suffer from chronic pain and mobility issues. He currently uses a wheelchair and struggles with a prosthesis that frequently dislodges.

Doctors have recommended a surgical procedure in Slovenia to remove the existing prosthesis and implant a new one. The estimated cost for the operation is 27,205 KM. Because Šimunović lives alone and cannot afford the procedure, the organization Pomozi.ba is coordinating donations through various bank accounts and humanitarian phone numbers to cover the medical expenses.
