Croatian HDZ clashes with SDP over Brezovica holiday and Trogir projects

The ruling HDZ party rebuked SDP leader Siniša Hajdaš Dončić after he criticised the absence of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Sabor president Gordan Jandroković at the anti‑fascist Day ceremony in Brezovica. HDZ accused Hajdaš of trying to dictate attendance and of "systematically ignoring the Statehood Day".

In the coastal town of Trogir, HDZ local board president Josip Matković responded to SDP mayor Ante Bilić’s criticism of the city’s new sports hall. Matković dismissed the opposition’s comments as a "political circus" and highlighted HDZ‑backed infrastructure such as the Pelješac Bridge, the Sveti Ilija tunnel and highways, noting that the 15‑million‑euro hall was funded by the municipality after the county’s joint school‑hall proposal was rejected.
