Josué Caicedo debuts for Barça Atlètic three days after signing

Ecuadorian defender Josué Caicedo made his debut for Barça Atlètic on August 15, just three days after signing his contract on August 12. After completing only two training sessions, Caicedo was brought into the match by coach Juliano Belletti in the 60th minute.

During his approximately 30 minutes on the pitch, Caicedo played alongside Villar and Gistau in a 2-1 victory against CE L'Hospitalet at the Camp d'Esports de Hospitalet as part of the Torneo Ciutat d'Hospitalet. The club's press department noted that while he had limited defensive work, he showed intensity without the ball and provided effective support in attack.

Caicedo, who developed in the youth divisions of Liga de Quito and has experience in Sub-19 and Copa Libertadores competitions, aims to eventually earn a spot with the FC Barcelona first team.
