Journalist Alejandro Machuca passes away

Journalist Alejandro Machuca, a prominent figure from the golden era of the TVN program ‘Zoom Deportivo’, has passed away. According to reports and sources close to the professional, his death was caused by a diabetic coma on Saturday night.

Machuca was a key member of the sports-entertainment format that achieved high ratings during the 1990s and 2000s, working alongside figures such as Sergio Livingstone and Pedro Carcuro. His passing has drawn tributes from former colleagues, including Álvaro Sanhueza, who noted their long-standing professional relationship.

His remains are being held at Chapel number 1 of the Catholic Cemetery.
