Journalist Alejandro Perea dies after emergency surgery

Alejandro Perea, a prominent journalist in the Cordón Industrial region of Argentina, has passed away at the Sanatorio Plaza de Rosario. Perea had been in intensive care following an emergency surgery for a severe intestinal complication.

His health declined after being admitted to the Hospital Granaderos a Caballo in San Lorenzo on August 18 with symptoms including disorientation and difficulty speaking. He was subsequently transferred to a higher-complexity center in Rosario for surgical intervention.

Perea's death has caused significant mourning among colleagues and residents in San Lorenzo and surrounding areas. He was well known for his work with Televisión Regional de San Lorenzo and FM Punta Quebracho, covering social, political, and labor issues in the region.

The circumstances surrounding his medical care have prompted the Santa Fe Chamber of Deputies to request a formal report to examine the initial medical response and the decision-making process regarding his transfer from San Lorenzo to Rosario.
