Journalist assaulted near Vélodrome stadium before Marseille-PSG match

A journalist from BFM Marseille Provence was subjected to verbal and physical assault while conducting street interviews near the Vélodrome stadium. The incident occurred during the ‘Classique’ match between Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain on September 20.

The reporter required medical attention at an emergency department following the attack. In response to the incident, the journalist has announced intentions to file a formal complaint against the aggressors.

The RMC BFM group has expressed full support for the employee, condemning the actions as ‘intolerable acts of violence’ and stating they will pursue all necessary legal initiatives.
