Journalist Diego Tonetti Pavão leaves CNN Brasil for SBT News

Journalist Diego Tonetti Pavão has resigned from CNN Brasil after nearly six years with the network. Pavão, who holds a master's degree in International Journalism and specializes in International Relations, announced his departure on Friday, August 21.

Pavão is set to join SBT News, a news channel launched in December 2025. He is expected to make his debut on Monday, August 24. His move comes amid recent personnel shifts at SBT News, including Monica D’Alfonso assuming the role of Editorial Director and the hiring of Alexandre Gimenez. Previously, Pavão worked at BandNews TV for two years.
