Journalist Ömer Yılan dies in Şanlıurfa car accident

Journalist and television presenter Ömer Yılan has died following a car accident on the Şanlıurfa-Diyarbakır highway. The accident occurred at the entrance to the city when Yılan lost control of his vehicle, causing it to overturn into a roadside ditch.

Yılan was rescued from the wreckage by emergency teams and transported to Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital. Despite medical interventions, he succumbed to his injuries.

Yılan was a well-known figure in the Şanlıurfa media community and had previously served as the Head of the Press and Publication Department for the Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality. He is survived by his wife and two children. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
