Journalist Mercedes Ninci assaulted during live broadcast

Journalist Mercedes Ninci was physically assaulted while reporting live for the program ‘La mañana con Moria’ in Buenos Aires. The incident occurred during a media scrum outside a prosecutor's office as reporters sought an interview with Candela Arizaga regarding a legal case involving Facundo Moyano.

During the chaos, Ninci was subjected to shoving and hair-pulling. Her cameraman, Uriel, was also reportedly insulted and struck by another media worker. The physical commotion resulted in Ninci’s microphone being inadvertently turned off during the struggle.

On-air hosts Moria Casán and Pampa Mónaco condemned the violence. Casán expressed indignation at the physical aggression and criticized the lack of professional conduct among the gathered press, noting that other journalists had also attempted to obstruct Ninci’s questioning.
