Journalist Nebojša Radošević dies in Belgrade

Nebojša Radošević, a long-time journalist and editor, has passed away in Belgrade at the age of 61 following a serious illness.

Radošević had a prominent career in media, most notably spending nearly two decades at the news agency Tanjug. Born in Pristina, he covered significant events during the conflict in Kosovo and Metohija.

His life and career were profoundly impacted by his kidnapping in October 1998 by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) while working as a reporter. He and photojournalist Vladimir Dobričić were held in captivity for 41 days, during which they endured interrogations and mistreatment before being released in November 1998.

In recent years, Radošević served as a key witness for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague. In October 2023, he testified regarding the torture he experienced during his captivity in the trial of Hashim Thaçi and other KLA leaders.
