Journalist Stefano Scibilia releases book on US political reporting

Journalist Stefano Scibilia has released his first book, ‘Fuori Onda’, which chronicles his professional experiences covering American politics. Scibilia, a correspondent for outlets including Italpress, La Sicilia, and La Stampa Usa, as well as a television collaborator for La7, details his time reporting from Washington and the White House during the presidencies of Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

The book aims to provide a behind-the-scenes look at the realities of journalism, moving beyond televised reports to discuss the preparation, source verification, and logistical challenges inherent in the profession. Scibilia describes the ‘off-air’ moments as the essential work that precedes and follows a news story.

Book presentations are scheduled for December, including an event in Urbino on December 16 and a presentation in Milazzo on December 20.
