Journalists attacked in Serbia; racism condemned in Montenegro
In Novi Sad, Serbia, journalists reported incidents of harassment during a political gathering. Razglas news stated that editor Žarko Bogosavljević was attacked and insulted by an unknown man while filming near Futoška pijaca. The man reportedly attempted to seize the journalist's phone. Additionally, a journalist from the portal Mašina was pushed by men while attempting to ask Aleksandar Vučić a question regarding presidential pardons.
In Montenegro, the Ombudsman and the Center for Civic Education (CGO) have condemned the racist harassment of a foreign tourist of Asian origin. The incident, involving a group of youths on a bus traveling between Kotor and Perast, involved verbal abuse and mockery based on the tourist's perceived origin. The Ombudsman emphasized that such intolerance undermines human dignity and the safety of others, while CGO noted that such behavior reflects deep-seated societal prejudices.
