Journalists Syndicate to host ‘The Dinosaur’ play on social media trends

The Cultural and Artistic Committee of the Journalists Syndicate will host a theatrical performance titled ‘The Dinosaur’ on Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 PM. The play is written and directed by Sinbad Suleiman.

The production explores the impact of rumors and the rapid spread of news in the digital age. The plot begins with a passing comment about a dinosaur appearing in downtown Cairo, which quickly escalates into widespread controversy, media coverage, and social media trends. Through a blend of comedy and social observation, the play examines how social media and news outlets shape public consciousness.

The cast includes Seif Abdel Rahman, Dina Wassef, Hussein Al-Shantouri, and several others. Mahmoud Kamel, head of the syndicate's committee, stated that the play serves as a mirror to society, illustrating how a single sentence can transform into a trending topic.
