Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Gymnasium director accused of political campaigning
Parents of students at the Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Gymnasium in Novi Sad have filed complaints against the school director, Radivoje P. Stojković, accusing him of active involvement in the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) election campaign.
According to the parents, Stojković attended a campaign event titled ‘Srbija pobeđuje’ in Kosjerić, accompanied by the school's remaining assistant director, Zorica Boškov. The parents noted that this political activity occurs amidst a significant crisis at the institution, where 60 teachers and staff members have either been dismissed or left the school over the past 13 months.
Furthermore, the parents reported that the director has failed to comply with instructions from the educational inspectorate. Specifically, he has not convened the Parents' Council to discuss the school's annual work plan, a requirement that was mandated following a previous inspection in March.
