Jovanotti celebrates 60th birthday and upcoming documentary

Italian singer-songwriter Jovanotti, born Lorenzo Cherubini, recently celebrated his 60th birthday. Reflecting on a career spanning four decades—from his beginnings as a DJ at age 16 to his successful Jova Summer Party tours—he expressed a continued desire to experiment with genres including rap, pop, and world music.

To mark this milestone, a documentary titled ‘Lorenzo – L'incredibile avventura di Jovanotti’, directed by Dario Zonta and Carlo Zoratti, is set for release. The film, which follows the artist for seven years, will have its world premiere at the Rome Film Festival before arriving in Italian theaters from November 26 to December 2. Jovanotti noted that he intentionally gave the directors full creative control to capture a more intimate and vulnerable side of his life.

Colleagues and friends, including singer Gianni Morandi, have shared tributes on social media. Morandi highlighted their long-standing personal and professional bond, recalling Jovanotti’s support during a previous medical emergency.
