Jovanotti concert in Barletta canceled due to asbestos discovery

The Jovanotti concert scheduled for August 17, 2026, at the ex Cartiera area in Barletta has been canceled. The cancellation follows the discovery of asbestos at the site, which led authorities to declare the area unfit for public health reasons.

The Procura di Trani has placed the site under evidentiary seizure, while the Guardia di Finanza and Guardia Costiera are conducting investigations to map the area and determine the presence and origin of the asbestos.

Jovanotti expressed his disappointment regarding the cancellation, noting the impact on his 400-person crew and the audience. He stated he is awaiting official information from authorities and is not involved in the logistical or organizational aspects of the event.

Organizers are currently evaluating the possibility of rescheduling the concert. TicketOne has indicated that information regarding refunds is expected by Monday, August 17. While there were previous suggestions of moving the event to Bari, no definitive new date has been set. The cancellation of the Barletta date does not affect other stops on the Jova Summer Party 2026 tour.
