Jovanotti performs to 45,000 fans at Rome's Circo Massimo

Italian singer Jovanotti concluded his Jova Summer Party tour with two massive concerts at Rome's Circo Massimo, drawing approximately 45,000 spectators per night. The events featured a variety of musical guests, including Alfa, Benny Benassi, Frankie hi-nrg mc, and Mobrici. During the performance, Jovanotti shared messages of optimism, stating, “Pessimism is a luxury I cannot afford.”

Notable moments included a surprise duet with Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri, where the two performed “Samba della rosa.” In recognition of his cultural impact, the Mayor announced that Jovanotti would be awarded the Lupa Capitolina. The artist also used the stage to pay homage to Emma Bonino and perform pacifist themes with the track “Border Jam.”

To manage the large crowds, Rome authorities implemented a specific mobility plan, including extended metro hours and restricted vehicle access to the Aventino and San Saba neighborhoods to protect residents. While traffic controls helped manage incoming crowds, the high volume of spectators created significant challenges for public transport and traffic flow during the evening departures, particularly along the Ostiense axis.
