Joventut Badalona demands buyout from Michael Ružić amid US move

Spanish basketball club Joventut Badalona is demanding a buyout clause payment from Croatian player Michael Ružić to allow him to terminate his contract early. Ružić, a talented forward-center, is currently in the United States negotiating a move to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play for the LSU Tigers in the NCAA league.

Joventut spokesperson Raul Gonzalez confirmed that Ružić remains formally registered as a club player because the required compensation amount specified in his contract has not been paid. Ružić is under contract with the Catalan club until the summer of 2029. The club has declined to disclose the specific amount of the buyout clause or the deadline for the payment.
