JOVI launches Y21 smartphone in Brazil with 6,500 mAh battery
JOVI, the brand representing Vivo in Brazil, unveiled the Y21 smartphone on 31 May. The device targets users who need long battery life, featuring a 6,500 mAh cell that the maker says can sustain video streaming and social‑media use for many hours. It is built with IP65 dust‑ and water‑resistance and a military‑grade drop certification.
Key specifications include a 6.74‑inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T612 octa‑core processor, 4 GB of RAM (expandable by 4 GB virtual), 128 GB of internal storage (microSD up to 2 TB), a 50 MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 10× digital zoom, and a 5 MP front camera with smart flash. The phone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0 and will receive two years of updates. Other features are NFC, an infrared remote emitter, dual‑SIM support, a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition.
