Joy Division live recordings collection Eternal (Live) released

The post-punk band Joy Division is featured in the release of ‘Eternal (Live)’, a collection of 19 live recordings spanning a 14-month period from March 1979 until shortly before the death of vocalist Ian Curtis in May 1980.

Produced under the guidance of Martin Hannett, the recordings capture the Manchester group—comprising Curtis, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris, and Bernard Sumner—at the intersection of austerity and intensity. The collection includes performances from venues such as Hope And Anchor, Bowdon Vale Youth Club, and Acklam Hall. The release aims to provide new insight into the band's enduring legacy and the energetic nature of their live performances.
