Joy Korean Fried Chicken expands in Sydney following major endorsement

Joy Korean Fried Chicken has transitioned from a small Chippendale takeaway shop to a larger location on Enmore Road following significant public interest. The restaurant gained widespread attention after Nagi Maehashi, founder of RecipeTin Eats, endorsed owner-chef Kay Hwang’s food as the best Korean fried chicken in Sydney.

To manage the high demand and long queues that previously plagued the original site, Hwang expanded the business to four times its former seating capacity and increased staff from three to 18 employees. While the July reopening on Enmore Road experienced initial chaos, service has since stabilized, offering more efficient dining experiences compared to the previous location.
