Joyce Cook continues 45-year commitment to Terry Fox cancer research dream

Joyce Cook, 93, has been participating in the annual Terry Fox Run for 45 years, continuing to support the dream of cancer research inspired by Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope. Although Cook now resides in Vancouver, she maintains a strong connection to her former home in Trail by continuing to fundraise through the Trail site number.

Over the 23 years she has kept records, Cook’s support group, ‘Terry’s Team’, has raised $151,480 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Last year alone, the group raised $14,103. Cook has set a personal goal to document raising more than $200,000 for the cause.
