Jozef Obselka Launches Signature Drive for Trnava Mayoral Candidacy

Independent candidate Jozef Obselka, a 46‑year‑old manager, has begun collecting the 500 resident signatures required to run for mayor of Trnava in the October municipal elections. He announced on social media that he wants a city "governed by common sense" with equal rules for everyone, free of arrogance and behind‑the‑scenes games.

Obselka works in the private sector, leading a foreign‑owned company operating in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and serves on the executive board of the local sports club HKM Gladiators Trnava. He stresses that investing in children and youth is the city’s best long‑term strategy.

The race already includes candidates Branislav Baroš (KDH), Andrea Čajková (NEKA), Ľubica Horváthová (Demokrati) and Eva Nemčovská (NEKA).
