Jozo Bogdan: Remembering the entrepreneur who rebuilt FEAL

The region marks the sixth anniversary of the passing of Jozo Bogdan, a prominent entrepreneur and visionary who left a significant impact on Herzegovina and the wider region.

Born in Dužice and raised in poverty, Bogdan worked in Germany to save enough money to return to his homeland and build a business. In 2000, he took over the struggling FEAL plants, transforming them into a major European industrial entity by investing in local engineers and young talent.

Bogdan passed away on August 12, 2020, at the age of 66, following an anaphylactic shock caused by a wasp sting in Široki Brijeg. He is remembered not only for his business success but also for his philanthropy and commitment to helping those in need, including sick children and impoverished families.
