JP 75 Snooker Six Red Championship begins in São Luís

The JP 75 Snooker Six Red Championship is taking place at the Associação Atlética Banco do Brasil (AABB) in São Luís, Maranhão. The event celebrates the 75th anniversary of Jornal Pequeno and the 15th anniversary of the Federação Maranhense de Bilhar e Sinuca (FMBS).

Nearly 100 federated athletes from 14 Brazilian states and the Distrito Federal are participating. Maranhão holds the largest contingent with 28 athletes, followed by São Paulo with 13 and Pernambuco with 11. Other participating states include Piauí, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Ceará, and Distrito Federal, among others.

The tournament is organized by the FMBS and Jornal Pequeno, with realization by the Maranhão State Government (Sedel) and sponsorship from Grupo Mateus via the State Law for Sports Incentive. Matches are being broadcast on YouTube via the channels Múcio Maciel, Snooker Amigos, and Cabrera Snooker.
