JP Pietersen leads Sharks to strong start as head coach

Former Springbok winger JP Pietersen is seeing success in his role as head coach of the Hollywoodbets Sharks. The Durban-based side has won four of its first five games this season, securing bonus point victories in the BKT United Rugby Championship (URC) against the Ospreys, Leinster Rugby, and Cardiff Rugby.

The Sharks also opened their European Challenge Cup campaign with an away win against the French club Lyon. The team is currently preparing for a league match against Munster Rugby at Thomond Park.

Pietersen, who made 197 appearances for the Sharks during his playing career and was part of the 2007 World Cup-winning Springbok squad, expressed his deep connection to the club, noting that he has been a supporter since childhood.
