Újpest 4-2 over DVSC and Győr 4-0 against Nyíregyháza in Hungarian NB I round 2

On August 2, 2026 the second round of Hungary’s OTP Bank Liga featured three notable matches. Újpest FC overturned an early deficit to defeat DVSC 4–2 at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion, with Horváth Krisztofer scoring twice and Dzsudzsák Balázs adding a late goal. After the game the club’s head coach Szélesi Zoltán admitted he raised his voice and threatened players during the halftime break.

Győri ETO FC secured a dominant 4–0 win over Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC, despite the absence of captain Vitális Milán. Goals came from Urblík Norbert, Njie, Djukanovic and Bánáti. The result moved Győr to the top of the table.

Ferencvárosi TC were held to a goalless draw by Vasas SC at the Groupama Aréna, earning a single point after a tightly contested match.
