JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon cautioned that the advanced AI system Claude Mythos, developed by Anthropic, represents a security danger comparable to giving a ballistic missile to private individuals. Speaking at the Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, Dimon said unrestricted access could enable malicious actors to automate cyber‑attack code, exploit vulnerabilities, and even misuse scientific data for harmful purposes.

Anthropic currently limits Claude Mythos to a few selected organisations, including certain companies and U.S. military departments, after the U.S. government imposed restrictions on broader distribution. Dimon’s remarks echo growing concerns among financial and policy leaders about the potential for powerful AI tools to amplify cybercrime and bio‑research risks.
