JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warns on AI model access and shuns long‑dated Treasuries
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon addressed the Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, warning that unrestricted access to Anthropic’s AI model “Mythos” could enable misuse. He highlighted recent U.S. government steps that temporarily limited foreign‑national access to “Fable 5” and “Mythos 5,” noting that JPMorgan itself is among the few firms granted limited access, underscoring the importance of access control for advanced AI systems.
In a July 21 interview on The Master Investor Podcast, Dimon said he would avoid long‑dated U.S. Treasury bonds, expecting 10‑year yields to remain between 4 % and 4.5 % because structural fiscal deficits keep yields elevated. He also said he would stay selective on the S&P 500, preferring individual stock picks. Dimon linked his bond caution to broader global debt levels and geopolitical tensions, including concerns related to Iran.
