JPMorgan Chase appoints Mark O’Donovan as new head of human resources
JPMorgan Chase has announced that Mark O’Donovan will become the bank’s new head of human resources, effective January. O’Donovan, a 30-year veteran of the firm and current CEO of international consumer banking, will succeed Robin Leopold, who is retiring in the first quarter of the new year.
As part of this transition, O’Donovan will relocate from London to New York City and join the bank’s operating committee. His previous roles at JPMorgan include serving as CFO of the Commercial & Investment Bank, where he assisted in the integration of First Republic, as well as CEO of Chase Auto and Chase Home Lending.
Daniel Llano Manibardo, who currently leads international consumer banking for Germany, will succeed O’Donovan as the CEO of international consumer banking. Leopold, who has led the HR division since 2018, was credited by CEO Jamie Dimon for navigating the bank through the COVID-19 pandemic and the adoption of artificial intelligence.
